Tonya started working at Acworth Animal Hospital in 2007. As kennel manager, she makes sure your pet is comfortable, well fed and watered while in our care. She does this with the help of her awesome staff of kennel assistants. She recently rescued a chihuahua, Rosie. In the past Tonya has owned cats, cockatiels, rabbits and even a rooster. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, gardening and cooking.
Sophie began working with the staff at Acworth Animal Hospital in May of 2020. She attended Allatoona High School, and plans to further her education at Kennesaw State University starting in the fall of 2021. Sophie has a dog named Kylo that she rescued three years ago, and she has a cat named Stevie that she rescued in the spring of 2020.
Hannah joined Acworth Animal Hospital in May of 2020. She is currently enrolled at the University of Georgia where she is studying to become a large animal veterinarian. While in Athens, she works at the University of Georgia’s Teaching Dairy, and will typically start her day around 3 a.m. to feed and milk the cows. Hannah enjoys caring for the pets who board with us.
Myrique has been working at Acworth Animal Hospital since August of 2019. He is currently attending Penn Foster College to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. Myrique has a rescue pitbull named Killua, and a Savannah monitor lizard.
Riley is one of our awesome kennel assistants. She will love and care for your pets as if they were one of her own. Riley has three fun-loving cats: Lucky, Murphy, and Riley Cat. Riley currently has future plans to study and become a veterinarian. She has been actively involved in community service clubs and cheerleading throughout her high school years.
Kinsley is studying at Kennesaw State University. She is finishing her pre vet studies, and hopes to attend the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and become a large animal veterinarian. Kinsley owns two dogs, Levi and Chestnut.
Kaitlyn is a senior at North Cobb High School. She is working at Acworth Animal Hospital to gain experience before attending the University of Georgia and entering their veterinary program.
Kaitlyn has two sweet puppies, named Polly and Kai, who helped spark her interest in the veterinary world that she hopes to be a part of one day. Kaitlyn grew up about two minutes down the road from Acworth Animal Hospital. Her family has always brought their pets to the hospital, so it is great that she is now a part of it!
